Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: An earthy bark gives way into freshly cut roses, some vanilla infused cream and a malty cereal/crumble topping.
Palate: Some well rounded dried fruit, a little spice, plenty of vanilla and a return of the malt. Integrated, but not complex.
Finish: The vanilla and lighter spices linger, with the dried fruit making a slight return on the death.
Comment: A whisky that has plenty going on but stops short at being exceptional in any of its merits. Perfect as an introduction to the category.
8.1
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Nutty. Toasted hazelnuts, praline. Butterscotch. A touch of orange marmalade. Orange blossom honey. Enticing.
Palate: Smooth and round but with a crisp edge. More toffee and honey. Drying at mid palate. Still nutty all the way.
Finish: Medium long, drying on soft spices.
Comment: A well knitted dram. Pleasantly nutty.
