Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Apples: flesh, skin, core and pips, in fact. Water gives straw, grass with herbs and nuts.
Palate: Medium bodied. Pear, toffee apple and herbs. Goes down the middle of the tongue rather than filling the mouth. Smoky oak late on.
Finish: Firm, dry, little short.
Comment: A spiky mix of apple and grass. Intriguing.
7.8
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Starfruit. Caramel sauce. Candied lemon peel.
Palate: Smooth. Dark chocolate souffle.
Finish: Chocolate Olivers. Slightly woody.
Comment: Glenglassaugh can be malty, and this one is. It stands up very well for it's age. In this bottling, with an apricot colour that suggests sherry, very much a dessert whisky.
