Tasting notes
Taster   David Robertson
Nose: Rich phenolic nose with oranges, lemons.
Palate: Smoky phenols, sherry with spices.
Finish: Richly phenolic with classic Macallan resinous spice and sherry.
Comment: A classic example of well-aged Spanish.
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Smoky. Toasting almonds. Crème brûlée.
Palate: Firm, smoky, oaky, slightly astringent.
Finish: Smokiness. Sweetness. Hot peppermints.
Comment: This is on the woody side. A little too woody for me in its late astringency, but it is always a privilege to taste such old whiskies.
