Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Young, clean and lovely. Slightly sappy with touches of balsa wood, cereal (malt bins/sugar puffs), vanilla white chocolate and turned earth.
Palate: Crisp but with a super-sweet and soft mid-palate. Fizzy and young.
Finish: Quite hot, peppery and short. Malty.
Comment: Fresh and young, but balanced with good feel. Have it long.
7.8
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Initially yeasty, then wine gum. Fresh sawdust. More floral when reduced.
Palate: Dry, quite tight and one-dimensional. Some cereal notes.
Finish: Comparitively short. Raisins linger.
Comment: I'm not a fan of younger Macallans, but this is a drinkable, if somewhat undemanding, 8 Years Old.
7.8
