Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: A generous sherry character. Crème brûlée. Amaretto. Rhubarb jam. Quite an exotic profile. Sandalwood, vetiver.
Palate: Sweet mellow toffee.
Finish: Muscular. Cinnamon, liquorice.
Comment: A well matured and well balanced malt. The sherry notes tend to muzzle the distillery character. An iron hand in a velvet glove!

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Deep and powerful. Burnt raisin and cinnamon. Date loaf, dried fig.
Palate: Leathery and deep, fine tannins and light meatiness. Savoury and intense. Chicory, rose.
Finish: Coffee bean.
Comment: Brooding and slow to develop. Classic European oak but the spirit has enough weight to cope with the chunky wood.
