Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Soft, sooty smoke. Not pronounced, but it is definitely there.
Palate: A big, malty, whisky. Dry maltiness at first, like pastry, but it gradually sweetens: shortbread, a scattering of sugar; then raisins. Black bun?
Finish: A hint of sherry. Soothing.
Comment: A robust whisky that deserves more exposure.
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Rich, toffee apple. Ripe and dried fruits: sultana and date. With water more overt sherried notes along with boot polish.
Palate: Sweet and quite sherried. Rich and soft with good weight.
Finish: Gentle.
Comment: It wears its heart on its sleeve, and its big heart.
7.5
