Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Oaky. Rich, heavy. Dark chocolate, sultanas. Rubbery. Hint of sulphur. Obviously heavily sherried. Floral. Hyacinth. Complex and concentrated.
Palate: Sweet and sour. Rich oak but well mastered. Dark chocolate, dates, figs, nuts. The whole package.
Finish: Lingering on oak shades.
Comment: For those who love heavily sherried whiskies. A broad shouldered lad, very well-mannered,with great stories to tell.
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Very sweet and leathery with concentrated dried fruits. Full blooded sherry notes. With water there's a hint of struck match/rubber, then rosewood and fruit paste.
Palate: Big tannins and that leatheriness slapping on to the tongue. Cocoa nibs, sweet molasses. Needs to be loosened. With water, there's a charred earthiness. Good grip.
Finish: Walnut. Ripe fruits
Comment: A sherry bomb but has sweetness.
