Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense. Sherried. Moss, humus. Old furniture. Maraschino cherries. Darkchocolate. A floral hint. Heady flowers like iris. More oakiness on time.
Palate: Sweet and velvety. Oak speaks up. Dark chocolate. Bitter coffee. A definitesherry character. Astringent but not grippy. Dried fruit. Dates and figs. Quitecomplex and rich.
Finish: Oaky, drying on soft spices. Some liquorice and almond skin.
Comment: A rich sherry profile. On the oak side but elegant and deep. Water kills it.
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Very floral, lavender soap. Marshmallows, Tunnocks teacakes, hotchocolate and cream, caramalised walnuts and boot leather.
Palate: Earthy and oaky, plum pudding with a little nutty edge to it. Some beeswaxand a slight bitter oak. Espresso grinds and chocolate sprinkles.
Finish: Short but nicely spiced.
Comment: Clear signs of old age but well knitted together.
