Tasting notes

Taster Michael Jackson

Nose: Crisp. Spicy. Ginger ice cream.
Palate: Restrained start. Gentle flavour development. Lean. Lightly creamy. A suggestion of malted milk. Some concentrated sweetness.
Finish: Now the ice cream is rum and raisin.
Comment: Macallan Lite? Because I dislike the idea, I don't want to like the whisky, but it is a pleasant, easily drinkable dram.

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Light, spicy and quite citric. Malt, orange peel, almond, caramelised peach and baked apple.
Palate: Soft and light with an attractive juiciness from those fruits. Delicate and well balanced.
Finish: A little rapid.
Comment: A (deliberately) lighter style of Macallan. Wonder how the purists will take it?
