Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Layered and complex. Murray mint, stewed fruit. Water brings toffee, scented wood, vanilla pod. Deepens to treacle toffee, a lift of ginger biscuits, and dried peach. Elegant.
Palate: Everything on the nose plus an added spiciness dried flower, Turkish delight, hot pine.
Finish: Long slightly oaked but still fresh.
Comment: A dazzling quality you only get when cask and spirit have been in a long slow dance.
8.5
Taster   Arthur Motley
Nose: Ripe melons and sultanas. Sawdust and a lightly antiseptic Savlon note. With a little more time mango, white chocolate and a lemon butter icing.
Palate: Raisins, lemon biscuits and a toasty oakiness that is almost lightly medicinal.
Finish: Spicy oak.
Comment: Elegant, complex and satisfying.
