Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: A lot going on here: lifted notes of lemon balm/menthol, tangerine peel over a nutty/toasty background and, as it opens in the glass, vanilla and butter.
Palate: Silky and well-rounded. All the aromas come through making it creamy, fruity and spicy at the same time. Lovely balance and some complexity.
Finish: Well-rounded, mealy.
Comment: Well-balanced and characterful. Worth seeking out.
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Oily. Sun-dried grass.
Palate: Sweet for a moment, then intensely peppery.
Finish: Lingering. Dry. Ground white pepper. Peat.
Comment: This bottling is much more aggressive, and drying, than I remember. What happened to the soft maltiness and apricot fruitiness?
