Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Estery. Acetone then almond, lemon verbena, green tea, lime blossom moving to cut grass. Sharp and firm.
Palate: Better than the nose. Fragrant though with surprising depth. Direct and sweet. Good grip and decent balance.
Finish: A little bitter.
Comment: Of interest, but not great.
7.3
Taster   Arthur Motley
Nose: Behind fruitiness is a curious earthy and mechanical character, exhaust fumes and rusty cans, and maybe even a little tarriness.
Palate: Some stewed fruit and some oaky, cinnamon spice suggesting age.
Finish: Drying, tingling oak leaving a lasting bitterness.
Comment: A strange cask, which has produced an unusual malt whisky. Could be to some people's tastes but not mine.
