Tasting notes
Taster   Joe Bates
Nose: Light and fruity on the nose with lovely peach and lemon notes.
Palate: Pleasing gentle flavours: lots of refreshing apple and citrus fruits.
Finish: A lingering honey sweet finish.
Comment: A juicy, fruity whisky, which belies its 18 years in the cask. Summer in a glass.
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Light notes of old leather, tangerines, wood spice and white pepper. Vanilla and mild floral notes. Relatively ‘quiet.’
Palate: More commanding on the palate than the nose, with vanilla and orchard fruits, turning to dried fruits and black tea.
Finish: Drying to quite bitter chocolate and oak tannins.
Comment: Not a ‘sherry bomb’ Glenfarclas by any means. Quite complex, but the finish is a little drier than might be expected.
