Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Big and sweet with layers of fruit: butterscotch, cinnamon, citrus peels. With water, more spice, ripe oranges and a clover-like grassy/malty note.
Palate: Medium-bodied. Spices burst in the mouth. Masses of US oak, but it's balanced with gentle, soft maltiness. Explosive, sweet, delicious.
Finish: Malty.
Comment: Who said this was an insubstantial malt?
8.8
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Warm. Nutty. Marzipan. Pistachios. Appetising.
Palate: Leafy. Spicy. Rosewater. Garden mint.
Finish: Dry. Drying on the tongue, Coriander. Slightly bitter. Slightly sharp.
Comment: An unusually dry expression of Bushmills. Complex. Austere. Bushmills needs a touch of sherry sweetness.
7.8
