Tasting notes

Taster Jim Murray

Nose: Charming sea spray dilutes the soft, deep peat. Shades of vanilla and iodine.
Palate: Brilliantly oily, offering a magnificently lingering peaty sheen. Lovely maltiness giving way to some rich dark chocolate.
Finish: The oaky dark cocoa fuses effortlessly with the pulsing peat.
Comment: Complex with the oak making an ultra impressive foil to the peat. Excellent.

Nose: Aromatic, complex. Peaty, seaweedy, fruity.
Palate: Peaty, spicy, olive-like. Flavours beautifully rounded.
Finish: Oily, peppery.
Comment: A wonderful aperitif. Smoked fish to follow?
