Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense, waxy and malty. Lemon granité. A medicinal touch. Herbal. Opens on toasted hazelnuts and green tomatoes.
Palate: Smooth, thick, rich and coating. Creamy at first (toffee) then getting very peppery.
Finish: Very hot with a touch of green oak and almond milk.
Comment: Characterful, vivid but not complex. 'Tastes'
7.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Coconut again, but this time shell. Beeswax. Lightly grassy. Light smoke.
Palate: Light fruit. Nutty and polished. Smoke is there but not as well knitted as the 12 Years Old.
Finish: Short. Smoked.
Comment: Just lacks the energy and extra dimension of the 12 Years Old.
7.5
