Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Big and sweet with masses of vanilla essence, creme brulee and toffee apple. It's all about the cask rather than the sweet spirit underneath, something that's accentuated with water where there's touches of sawdust and banana.
Palate: Not as hot as the nose suggests. Sweet with tight oak. Softens well on thepalate. Better balance than the aroma.
Finish: Short, slightly hot.
Comment: Attractive enough but lacks complexity. There again, it's only 8yo.
7.3
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Tangy, biting. Turkish delight, hint of wild rose. A bit of fudge or rathertablets. Then wet straw. Apple skin.
Palate: Aggressive. Sour and bitter. With a cardboardy note.
Finish: Short, prickly.
Comment: The various elements are not in balance for my liking.
