Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Bingo! Superb wax, rich dark sugar, cocoa nibs and very dark tobacco leaf This s sublime and inviting with everything working together.
Palate: Sweet waxy notes, pronounced oak, but a superb lingering cherry undertone gives this a dark, haunting quality.
Finish: The cherry notes cling on, with an earthy tobacco covering everything in its tracks.
Comment: Absolutely tremendous. Mouth coating, yet easy to drink. It's like the complex band on Later with Jools Holland that you've never heard of but totally fall in love with after one song.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty and fruity. Rhubarb and ginger jam. Gingerbread. Brown bread. Dates and sultanas. Candied orange. Rich in the back, beeswax.
Palate: Sweet at first then dry and crisp. Oak is overwhelming. Bitter chocolate Ground ginger. Toffee in the back.
Finish: Dry, bittersweet.
Comment: A strong character, oak driven. For me, the alcohol is not well mastered.
