Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense, balsamic with a deep exotic wood fragrance. Cedarwood, sandalwood. Turkish delight. Sour apple. A creamier note in the back. Coffee, toffee. Rich and complex.
Palate: Sweet at first then sour and spicy. Cranberries. More Turkish delight. Lots of liquorice. Drying on astringent oak notes. Dark chocolate.
Finish: Medium long. With a spicy tang. Ginger. Wood smoke and liquorice.
Comment: An old Bourbon with a good amount of rye in the mashbill? Elegant, intense and well structured.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Opens with rich, dense, toffeed oak and no shortage of spicy rye battling against the sweet oak. A touch of lazy corn, treacle and dusty spice comes through.
Palate: Gentle fat corn and soft, toasted toffeed oak. Followed by a bullet of bitter, spicy rye. Yes, siree Bob! That rye definitely dominates bringing with it some tongue tingling spice!
Finish: Long with the rye becoming more herbal and the toasted caramel, toffee note becoming a little burnt. But, damn, those spices are bitter!
Comment: Well, this certainly doesn’t lack personality!
