Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Tropical fruit monster – guava, papaya, melon, pear, banana, apricot, peach and lime. Mature and deep with acacia honey, minerals and dusty oak.
Palate: Opens with a little more minerality, citrus and barley but the mature tropical fruit is still there, if a little subdued. Very citric and mineral on the middle but the creamy oak smoothes the edges. Absolutely majestic!
Finish: Citric and minerally with the echo of the tropical fruit lingering along with some toasty oak.
Comment: Whisky like this makes tasting an absolute pleasure.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: A classic single malt Scotch nose with a wonderful balance of oak spices, vanilla sweetness and distillery character. Peaches and honey add some additional levels.
Palate: A thick and oily palate with some wonderful manuka honey, coal dust, white flowers and toasted pine nuts. There is a lovely ‘vintage’ feel to this whisky.
Finish: Sweet, yet with the oak bitterness as a foundation. Very well balanced.
Comment: An old-school style of single malt where oak flavours mattered.
