Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Clean, rich, buttery, sweet. Butter and ground almond cakes. Hazelnut milk chocolate. Oak elegantly intertwines with rich cake aromas.
Palate: Sweet and spicy. Oak speaks up, covering fruit with spices. Nutmeg, ginger.
Finish: Dry, assertive. Dark chocolate. Bitter root. Toasted nuts.
Comment: The nose is more enticing than the palate. Water reduces the gap, bringing in a velvety texture.
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Full and fudge-like cut with green orange peel, herbs and marzipan. Well-balanced.
Palate: A fresh clean nutty start with notes of patisserie, powdered almond before a hint of incense/Turkish delight. Concentrated.
Finish: Spicy and dry.
Comment: Well made, but lacks the complexity and range of the best.
