Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Young and firm. Hot roads, peat fire ashes. A touch of fish oil then firms up into burning leaves and wood smoke.
Palate: Good feel. Fills the palate well. Light spiciness, engine oil. Young and lively. A great blast of smokiness. Well-balanced.
Finish: Dry and smoky. Touch of nut.
Comment: Direct. One to watch.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Cold ashes. Burnt toast. Sour milk. Damp cellar in a musty atmosphere. Then a strange combination of floral and phenolic notes. Charcoal.
Palate: Very floral and light with phenolic undertones. Cereal flakes. Smoked barley.
Finish: Short, dusty. Liquorice root. A hint of ginger.
Comment: Quite an unusual profile. A comforting malt to enjoy while camping in the wilderness.
