Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Malty: combine harvester, green malt, grilled nuts, wholemeal flour. In time some raisin bread, earthy. Like a handful of barley with the soil attached.
Palate: As nose but with added clootie dumpling dried fruit notes. Hazelnut spread on wholemeal toast. Gingery.
Finish: Baked apple. Hot.
Comment: Fine, not a lot of oak.
7.5
Taster   Arthur Motley
Nose: A fruity breadiness, like banana bread or a Chelsea bun. Toffee, orange juice, ginger and parma violets. A herbaceous element too, along with a compost-like whiff of vegetable peelings.
Palate: A creamy sweetness, with peach slices and chocolate coated raisins. Ginger biscuits.
Finish: Drying, sulphurous, in an over-bearing way.
Comment: Just didn't hang together for me.
