Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: A grassy and light start. Lemon verbena tea, runny honey, glacé cherries, cherry blossom blooms. Aromatic wood and a floral edge.
Palate: Sweet, with rich oak tones. Those glacé cherry and honey notes comes through and the oak spices build up. Water brings more sweetness to a point.
Finish: Smooth, short and sweet.
Comment: An easy gentle dram, just go easy with the water, it does not really need it.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Sour. Oaky. A butyric note. Cider cellar. Hint of apple blossom honey. Rounding up in time. The butyric note goes out. Still sour though. Pear cider. Autumnal. Dour with water though.
Palate: A short sweet start then the sourness comes. With more oak. Some liquorice. The 'miner's lozenges'
Finish: Rather short. Sweet and sour.
Comment: The effect of water is funny. It hardens the nose and softens the palate at the same time.
