Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Instant, rich, sweet Sauterne-like notes. Honey and honey dew melon. Strawberries?
Palate: Oily. Cereals. Some smoke, perhaps. Chocolate chip? Orange zest.
Finish: Full and firm. Beautifully structured (toasted?) graininess gives way to faint, aromatic, astringency. Sandalwood? Tobacco?
Comment: Unusual and beautiful wine-like nose is backed up by solid malt character-rich palate.
9.5
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Herbal, grassy. Green fruit. Granny Smith. Lemon sherbet. Refreshing.
Palate: Sweet aniseed infusion. Touch of lime tea and cardboard.
Finish: Warm, tangy.
Comment: Not a great aromatic display. A cardboardy touch on the palate. Water soothes alcohol a little while underlining the unidimensional aniseed/minty profile.
