Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very spicy and dusty. Honeyed.
Palate: Firm. Intense sweetness at first. Then perfumy. Lemony. Anis. A hint of quinine dryness.
Finish: A touch of oakiness.
Comment: Similar to the 1841, but not quite as sophisticated.
9.3
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Light and malty with light pear and an earthy note. Hay-like, wholemeal flour, yeasty, slightly immature (greengage).
Palate: A softer slightly oilier texture than the nose suggests. Light and cereal-driven. No breadth or complexity.
Finish: Crisp and fairly short.
Comment: A bit young and one-dimensional. Quite disappointing.
