Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Sherryish, nutty aromas predominate. Then malt (slightly buttery), and peat. Each seems to manifest itself as a separate hit.
Palate: Lively expression of classic Speyside flavours: sherry, malt and slight smokiness.
Finish: Lightly peaty. Appetising.
Comment: A straightforward Speyside classic. Also big enough to benefit from considerable age.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Takes time to open, and once some water is added, there's a wall of aromas: rich, fruity with some toffee, vanilla, caramelised apple, barley sugar, coconut, dried fruit and hints of peat and banana.
Palate: Dry, quite heathery overall. A firm body with rich and ripe mid-palate. A whisky that demands to be chewed.
Finish: Powerful, heather and bracken. Moreish.
Comment: Excellent, has great balance.
