Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Takes time to open. Then this aromatic floral note with honey and stewed fruits comes, surrounded by liquorice.
Palate: A little orange pith bitterness with a sweet edge.
Finish: Warming with spices.
Comment: Worth waiting for the nose to open and one for the wood fans.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Restrained at first. Then a heavy liquorice note swirls up alongside with floral notes. Clover honey, meadow flowers. Hint of angelica.
Palate: Sweet at first but very soon the oak grip takes it to the bitter side. Overcooked caramel. Tangy, dry. Slightly bitter.
Finish: Woody, spicy.
Comment: The nose is enticing but the palate is overwhelmed by the wood. And water exacerbates the astringency.
