Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Sherry. Ripe red fruit. Smoke.
Palate: Winey. Body is sweetish and creamy. Nougat. Port-like.
Finish: Huge fruit. Cherry brandy.
Comment: A lovely digestif whisky.
8.5
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Tangy, spirity. Creamy when aerated. Dates, figs. Marzipan. Black pepper.
Palate: Biting, fizzy mouthfeel. A lot of toffee and dark chocolate.
Finish: Dry, liquoriced and peppery. Turns quite bitter. Wood is blatantly overpowering.
Comment: The unusually high strength of this 23 Years Old malt makes it taste younger. Water tames the spirit but heightens woodiness. Lacks delicacy.
