Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Butterscotch, a touch of paraffin then a distinct note of strawberry chewy sweet, swiftly into a bag of fresh cherries. Then to a more waxy territory.
Palate: The wax continues onto the palate, with a wonderful oily mouthfeel, some lighter floral notes (rose) and a touch of hot buttered toast.
Finish: Lingering dryness, some salted butter and a hint of hazelnut shell.
Comment: Introduce this to the palate and it will hang around till after dinner but won't outstay its welcome.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: A salt bite, Maldon sea salt that is, damp hedgerows and wet soil. In time tablet, sea salt, caramel, vanilla ice cream, raspberry sauce, tinned mandarin juice, sherbet dips.
Palate: Orange and lime marmalade, sweet, fresh pepper grinds, starts to warm up at the end. Marshmallows, poached pears, a little waxy note. That focused sugar sweetness comes through.
Finish: Shortish and quite warm. Juicy at first then the salt returns.
Comment: The alcohol is well mastered.
