Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Tangy. A earthy fungal note. Damp wood and cellar. Sour apple skin. A lactic aroma lingers above a sweeternote.Cooked apples in honey.
Palate: Smooth, fruity and pleasant. Cooked peaches in a honeyed syrup. Fresh apple juice. Muesli. Quite appetising.
Finish: Long,liquoriced.
Comment: This unpleasant 'something'
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Bold and oily with a slight sour note reminiscent of goats cheese. Smoke, sealing wax and stables.
Palate: Better than the nose, army blankets, nutty but then the sour lactic note reemerges in the centre. Big and brinywith mink oil.Richly textured.Oil skins and some smoke.
Finish: Thick and clinging.
Comment: The nose is off-putting,which knocks the score down, but the palate delivers.
