Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Fruity and laden with liquorice spice at first. Strawberry fruit, leather, anise, blackcurrant and a faint touch of dry red wine, if you dig deeper.
Palate: Superb on the first sip; malty cereal, fresh soft summer fruit, a dusting of cinnamon and vanilla ice cream. If only they made breakfast cereals like this.
Finish: The oak becomes more vanilla and gives a lengthy lingering dimension.
Comment: A bumper crop of flavours at work here. Superb stuff.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Prickly. Summer fruit. Redcurrant, blackcurrant gum. Even a touch of cider apple. Sourness in the air with water, citrus fruit.
Palate: Smooth at first, then crisp. Sour fruit. Dry cider with a musty note.
Finish: Dry, sour with a spicy kick.
Comment: A dry whisky with a sour fruit profile. It lacks balance and body.
