Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Warmed toffee sauce, sweet pasties, pears poached in cider. Malt loaf and butter. Almost a meaty note develops, similar to the fat on Parma ham, cantaloupe melons and cinnamon sticks.
Palate: A sweet malty edge, that malt loaf and butter note again, vanilla flavoured sugar and custard tarts.?Wonderful, great balance and lightness to it.
Finish: Long and morish.
Comment: Wonderful, great balance and lightness to it.
8.5
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Butterscotch, French flan desserts (basically Crème Caramel in pot form) some cider vinegar and a clarified butter note. Very distinct and fatty.
Palate: A hint of dry sherry, more cider vinegar, malty cereal and vanilla essence/ saccharine sweetness.
Finish: Butter biscuits and vanilla coat the palate and give this whisky a reasonablylengthy finish.
Comment: Sweet and a little artificial in places, but not without merit.
