Tasting notes
Taster   Mark Newton
Nose: Linseed oil. A touch of caramel with some citrus, orange blossom. Tinned fruit in golden syrup. Peaches. Quite mead-like. Very alluring, mellow and understated.
Palate: Floral and leafy, but intensely so. Extra virgin olive oil. Pine nuts. Underneath it all is a lively cereal note. Rhubarb and custard, or a crumble topping. That maltiness balances it.
Finish: Oily, long, and treads a lovely line between the maltiness and sweet syrup.
Comment: This is a dram of real subtleties – rich in flavour, with quality up-front.
Taster   Laura Foster
Nose: Very pretty, with honeysuckle growing in a fragrant pine forest, dotted with fresh bergamot, fizzy bars and nail varnish.
Palate: The lightness continues. Bursts with bright citrus – more bergamot, lime pith and fizzy sherbet. Pine needles and shavings with some white pepper and vanilla.
Finish: A mineral character appears from behind the A mineral character appears from behind the bright flavours. It’s quite chalky, before milk chocolate sweeps it away.
Comment: From pine forests to chalk cliffs. A fun walk in a glass.
