Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense, rich. Orange marmalade, candied kumquat. Marzipan. Opening on more fruit, exotic this time. Passion fruit juice. Luscious dessert aromas.
Palate: Silky, gently flowing. Sweet but well balanced, with the same rich andluscious sensation. Orange cake.
Finish: Dry,slightly spicy, with a touch of toasted hazelnuts.
Comment: An elegant and well-structured dram. But I would avoid water. Funny how water wakes the oakiness up but also tones down all the rest.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Lightly resinous (good age?) with baked fruits and lightly charred lift. A little shy. With water there's maple syrup/toffee apple and a touch of malt.
Palate: Immediately spicy, nutmeg to the fore. A thick caramel quality in the middle then a prick of orange zest. Tongue coating. Slightly fragile feel.
Finish: Soft and nutty.
Comment: Good, but for me just lacks the extra layer of complexity to lift it to the next level.
