Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Milk chocolate, soft nougat bars. Then some chocolate Hobnob biscuits, oats and honey, then more intense fruits, roast pineapple and dark fruits.
Palate: Just explodes with spices and oak grip. Alcohol is well mastered. Some toffee and honey comes through as well.
Finish: Warming and spicy.
Comment: A stunner, so complex and engaging.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Light at start then getting more intense. Butterscotch, vanilla syrup. And some wood notes. Fresh oak, sawdust. A touch of dark fruit. Blackcurrant wine gums.
Palate: Sweet, surprisingly sweet for the strength. Same toffee like profile followed by a sherbety feel. Drying out on spices.
Finish: Dry, spicy with a nutty aftertaste.
Comment: A well structured dram. It only needs a small dash of water to cut the edges.
