Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Intriguing mix of smoke and cream. Coal tar soap, deck oil, dried seaweed, tar. Sugared almond and vanilla. Great balance.
Palate: A slow starter. Quite sweet then the peat ramps up into Germoline iodine. A silky feel.
Finish: Medicinal and dry.
Comment: Available via the website. A classic Laphroaig - much better than the 15 Years Old.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Soft. Lemongrass. Orange flower water. Very restrained phenols.
Palate: Rich oiliness. Linseed. Lemon zest. A martini with a twist.
Finish: Soothing, appetising.
Comment: A touch sophisticated for the likes of me. Where are those stinging iodine notes? They are in there somewhere, but beautifully balanced and rounded.
