Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Elegant and refined with peat smoke to the fore. Raisin, heather and dried fruits. Has real maturity. Light spice and coal dust.
Palate: Rich ripe and long with great layers of dried fruit and subtle scented ash like woodsmoke. Some sweet spice. Multifaceted.
Finish: Spicy. Ashes yet a real life.
Comment: Atypical for a Speysider for sure but what a phenomenal dram this is.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Silvestry. Damp earth, pine needles. Chestnut purée. Vanilla merges through the wood. Peppermint tea. A smoky medicinal whiff coming through with a creosote note.
Palate: Velvety, smooth. The creosote is coming through grassy flavours. Fresh cider. Lemon pie.
Finish: Slightly fizzy then fruit (lemon drops).
Comment: Reveals a rich profile by a succession of aromatic layers. Alcohol is perfectly tamed.
