Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: On the more perfumed/aromatic side of smokiness: herring, heather blossom, baked apple, orange. Quite delicate. With a drop of water there's biscuits, lemon and some maritime notes.
Palate: Soft with a rounded mid-palate. Good balance: the gingery/heather tingle rounded out by soft fruit.
Finish: Dry, soft.
Comment: A great, light introduction for Islay virgins but best sipped neat.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Melon, cucumber. Fresh almond. Develops smokiness and tarred wood.
Palate: Thirst-quenching. Cucumber juice. Smoky aftertaste.
Finish: Harmonious and gentle.
Comment: More Islay character on the nose than on the palate. A good appetite-teaser.
