Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Salty, rooty, seaweed.
Palate: Salty. Grainy. Some wood-pulp, sulphury, notes.
Finish: New mown hay. Sweetness. Slight peatiness, saltiness.
Comment: I am not sure about that sulphur. Is it from the cask, or is it seaweedy? I usually like seaweed, but am not convinced by this bottling.
7.3
Taster   Doug McIvor
Nose: Clean, soft fruity, pears, whiffs of carbolic soap and smoke.
Palate: Medium-full bodied, slightly viscous, nutty, malty, toasty.
Finish: Sweet to salty. Dry with a gently smoked character.
Comment: Fairly gentle for a Scapa and a little drier throughout than expected.
