Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Peaty and smoky, but with a burnt and cooked character.
Palate: Very dry and quite intensely phenolic. Grassy. Then some sweeter flavours. Baked plantains?
Finish: Warming. Soothing.
Comment: Another smoky whiskey is always welcome, but I think I may have tasted this under another name.
8.0
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Oily. Fried mackerel, soot, seems young. Singed rope, lino. Attractive.
Palate: Opal fruits, hazelnut and a smokiness which picks up towards the finish.
Finish: Medium length. Lightly smoky.
Comment: Well made, clean and balanced. Worth a punt.
