Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very aromatic. Distinctive. Fresh. Lavender. Ferny. Peat smoke.
Palate: Soft but insistent smokiness over a clean, sweetly malty background.
Finish: Creamy, with a savoury note reminiscent of seaweedy pretzels.
Comment: Bowmore is a great malt. Let's see more of it in straightforward ages.
8.8
Taster   Marcin Miller
Nose: Complex and fresh scented. Lightly maritime. Concentrated light honey flavours and maple syrup when reduced.
Palate: Maritime. Pretty friable; the addition of water doesn't help.
Finish: Very short and drying.
Comment: Confusing. Lightness of nose is contradicted by strident palate. It promises a lot but doesn't deliver.
