Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Balsamic. Eucalyptus. Cigar box. Oak is present.
Palate: Dry and crisp. Burnt apple wood. Chestnut cake. Oak is prevailing but in a pleasant way.
Finish: Dry, quite short.
Comment: Interesting nose but the palate does not quite fulfil the expectations. Oak speaks too loud at times.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Ripe with lots of new wood and with that a light charred/hickory note. Some hickory. Semisweet and bourbon, but has a certain complexity.
Palate: Briar, polished wood. Dry and slightly tannic. Very firm meaning that the sweetness is obscured by the oak. There's nutmeg, allspice and some black fruit.
Finish: Long slightly tannic.
Comment: The oak is a little heavy-handed and though it has character, there's a lack of balance.
7.5
