Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Crisp and herbal with sweet apricot, banana and pineapple, all gently coated in cinnamon and nutmeg and drizzled with maple syrup. Luscious and juicy with some rye-like herbal notes.
Palate: Oak dominated, which is a surprise given the nose. Citrus attempts to balance the toffee but the oak really bitters. Adds lovely pure cocoa, but it’s still bitter!
Finish: There is a touch of banana, toffee and vanilla but could do with more sweetness.
Comment: If only the palate mirrored the nose.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: There are notes of white flowers, blueberries and a hint of oak spice in the nose, but generally it is quite closed. Some lanolin and bluebells emerge with time.
Palate: A classic mainland Scottish dram, this is delicate but has an odd fruity note hidden under the heather, like finding a packet of wine gums left atop Benrinnes.
Finish: The fruits carry on here, almost into the realms of fruit teas, leaving an odd finish.
Comment: Not quite sure what to make of this. Fruity yet herbal. An odd experiment.
