Tasting notes

Taster Michael Jackson

Nose: Toffeeish. Fruity.
Palate: Roses. Fruits. A suggestion of milk chocolate.
Finish: Firm balancing oaky dryness.
Comment: A beautifully composed whisky. No aggression, but a great sense of authority.

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Fairly rich: dried fig, hard toffee, chocolate, light smoke. Rich and fruity with drier notes of sacking, redwood, walnut.
Palate: Firm with positive grip. Dried fruits/coffee grounds sit in the centre surrounded by oak. Tea-like tannins, dry spices.
Finish: Dusty.
Comment: A dry whisky that wakes the palate up.
