Tasting notes

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Harmonious. Butterscotch. Polished floor. Fruit cake. Oak and fruit combine.
Palate: Smooth, velvety. Pears poached in white port and vanilla. Oak is kept under control. A bit flat though.
Finish: Medium. Nutty with a touch of spice.
Comment: A beautifully mingled aromatic palette. But this whisky would have delivered more character if bottled at a higher strength.

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Dry yet full with aromas of melting chocolate, hay loft, clover honey on toast. Dry sacking. Firm.
Palate: Stewed prunes, dark chocolate, earth, caramel toffee and light smoke.
Finish: Dried fruits.
Comment: This has breadth, but just lacks the depth of the others.
