Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Luscious, sweet and thick. Soft caramel toffee with some milk chocolate and a little lift from a sulphury cedar note. With water there's immediate fireworks but once they've blazed off you've got dried sweet fruits.
Palate: There's light smoke here. Thick on the tongue. Good grip but with sufficient rich, mature fruit to balance wel.l
Finish: Long,lightly leathery.
Comment: A 70s playboy...all mirrored shades, suede jacket, woody aftershave and cigar.
8.2
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Unmistakeably sherried. Dark wood. Damp earth floor and musty walls.
Palate: Sweet at start then giving way to oak. Grippy, especially as alcohol is not well mastered.
Finish: Oaky, dry and slightly burning.
Comment: The sherry influence has wiped out the distillery character. What's the fun to inhale and drink oak juice?
