Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Phenolic. Rubbery. Burnt tyre. Wet moss. Humus. A grassy note behind the peat. Dry hay, honey. Lemon peel.
Palate: Sweet then shifting to a dry spicyness. A farmyard flavour. Milk parlour ?
Finish: Short, malty.
Comment: A peatier than usual Connemara? Young obviously but well manneredand lively.
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Light and (bar the fact its smoky) slightly thin. Becomes exceptionally rubbery - inner tubes/tyre fitting garages, burst balloons.
Palate: Inevitably it's smoky -reminiscent of oak chips in a home smoker. Becomes slightly fungal and then the rubber note returns. There's sweetness in the centre but it's almost completely masked.
Finish: Greasy -a very late cut ... ?
Comment: Way, way too young.
