Tasting notes

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Mature with good power. varnish, golden syrup, oak. Cognac like: spices (allspice/clove), semi-dried/caramelised fruit, grilled nut. Resinous, walnut, stewed tea, baked banana, leather.
Palate: Soft with a clear progression of flavour. Flows like syrup. Lockets (honey and spices).
Finish: Raisined and rich.
Comment: A big, sweet-hearted giant.

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Fragrant. Floral. Carnation. Dry meadow flowers. Apple blossom. Cider apple. Touch of leather. Toasted almonds.
Palate: Silky. Mellow. Fruity. Stewed apple. Madeira cake.
Finish: Soft, elegantly spicy. Nutmeg. Pepper.
Comment: A smooth and caressing blend. Full of charm. The balance is superb. Gives a sense of comfort and relief.
