Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Sweet. Toffee, creamy fudge. Quite nutty. Rich, with a good malty core and a fruity expression. Sultanas. Dried apricot. Also baked apples in a cinnamon syrup.
Palate: Smooth and firm. Beautiful balance; All the nose promises are delivered. Drying on spices.
Finish: Long, gingery. With a nutty aftertaste.
Comment: Excellent. Well balanced and complex.
8.6
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Clean, has the sharpness of youth with light bran, grass, fruit loaf. Sun-Pat (boxed) raisins and a growing dry/toffee sweetness.
Palate: Light sulphur with central sweetness. Compressed fruitiness at the centre, also suggestive of this still being young. Light plumminess and a cereal note as well.
Finish: Crisp and spicy.
Comment: Though clearly still coming together, this is a marker of real quality.
